As a serious musician, I often like to pride myself on being a bit snobby when it comes to popular tunes, and especially when it comes down to talking about or, God forbid, listening to, Christmas tunes.
There’s something about the fact that you hear the same 10 songs from mid-November until early January every year that leaves me absolutely hating this genre of music.
But, in the spirit of the holidays, I’ve decided to kickoff the revamp of this blog with a tribute to one of the rare Christmas albums I actually do like, by the Vince Guaraldi Trio.
Half music by Charlie Brown, half great jazz, and just a small touch of Christmas spirit makes this a great listen.
Happy Holidays and I look forward to getting going with this blog in 2016!
